As a corporate attorney, Ryan applies an in-depth understanding of business priorities to help clients navigate acquisitions, financing, and other complex transactions.

Ryan is a corporate transactions attorney with a focus on counseling both public and private companies in mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financings, joint ventures and other commercial transactions. He has a broad base of transactional experience and represents clients across multiple industries, including business and financial services, energy and natural resources, and technology.

His experience includes leading roles in all aspects of M&A and corporate financing transactions, and he regularly counsels clients on enterprise-driven legal issues, including intellectual property, securities, and compliance. He also advises credit unions and nonprofits on corporate, transactional, and governance matters. Alongside his JD, Ryan earned a dual MBA degree, giving him a solid understanding of the business fundamentals that underpin clients’ companies.

Since Congress first introduced the Corporate Transparency Act (“CTA”) and the beneficial ownership information reporting framework in January 2021, much of the focus has been on the specific reporting requirements that now apply to both domestic and foreign reporting companies (including corporations, limited liability companies, and partnerships). However, the CTA also has far reaching implications for the renewable energy industry and the players involved in tax equity partnerships.
